Energy Star has different classifications and requirements for dehumidifiers depending on the Pints Per Day capacity. For dehumidifiers 35 pints per day or less, the Energy Factor must be greater than or equal to 1.4 L/kWh. Our COMPACT unit falls in this category and easily passes with 1.72 L/kWh. For units between 45 and 54 pints per day, the Energy Factor must be greater than or equal to 1.6 L/kWh. Our PLUS unit is 2.04 L/kWh, well above the required minimum of 1.6 L/kWh.
Our Dri-CrawlSpace® dehumidifiers are much more efficient than industry standards dictate for Energy Star compliance. Lower capacity dehumidifiers with lower Amp ratings will not give you the same efficient performance as our robust, commercial quality dehumidifiers.

Are you worried about a dehumidifier fitting in your crawlspace? The Dri-CrawlSpace® COMPACT and Dri-CrawlSpace® PLUS both share the same small footprint of 13.8" wide by 23" long.
That makes both these crawl space dehumidifiers only about the size of a counter top microwave. The two handles on top make it so these units can be carried by one person. At 60 lbs and 62 lbs either of these can be handled by one able bodied adult.
